The Barn is the beautifully restored former milking shed and can seat 100 guests with enough space for dancing and a buffet - or more for lunch and dinner.
The beams are made of yellowwood and the white concrete pillars are fitted with coach lamps. Other features are the plants and fairylight trees along one side of "The Barn" and the pond with a small fountain. Fairylights have been installed on the beams of the roof and "Broekielace" in the windows in which hurricane lamps can be placed at night. A Bar with a roof made of palmleaves adds to the facilities.
We are in possession of a picture of this historical building dated 1936, when the movie "King Solomon's mines" was shot on our and the neighbour's property - based on the novel of Rider Haggard, who arrived as a learner farmer in this area.
Adjacent to this venue is a spacious function kitchen.
